First Book Blogger Review of SoE1

Today was a good day. I have been so nervous ever since I found a few book bloggers who were open enough to give an odd Finnish author a chance. I just had the pleasure of reading the first review, and I was so relieved. A blog called Bookish Beyond gave it 5 stars, and the review is wonderfully detailed with short character analysis and favorite quotes too. I couldn't be happier, and it's such a relief to see readers resonate with the story and have emotional responses to the characters. Check the Bookish Beyond blog and the review here.

  Why do I write? Because in a world where most people feel comfortable speaking and expressing themselves with speech, I feel alienated and alone at times. I love words. I love stories. But I can only relay them through written form. I’ve always been quiet on the outside, hiding what I really think and feel. Music for writing

I couldn't imagine writing without music. It helps to surround me with a barrier to keep our world and its mundane worries out and to transport me to other worlds. I rarely listen to purely instrumental music, but writing sessions are the exception (not always). I like music from all sorts of genres and from all over the world but not many of my favorite bands or singers make it to my writing music lists. Normally, depending on my mood, I listen to things like Tom Waits, StrayKids, DPR Ian, Dimash, Moloko, Blondie, Sister's of Mercy, Nick Cave (and most rock 'n roll songs from the 60's, rock songs from the 70's, metal from the 80's and 90's, and many of the poppier song from that era too, oh, and musicals and classical music and Bollywood songs.
